OweLess — Privacy Policy
OweLess helps you track what you owe — debts, installments, bills, gam3yas and savings — and plan how to clear them. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and what control you have.
Information you give us
- Account details — your name and email address. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the name and email that service shares with us. Passwords, when you set one, are stored only as a salted hash and are never readable by us.
- Financial information you enter — monthly income, payday, debts, installments, expenses, savings goals, gam3ya participation and recurring subscriptions. This is the content of the app; it is stored so your data is available across your devices.
Information collected automatically
- Push notification token — a device identifier issued by Apple and handled through Firebase Cloud Messaging, used only to send reminders you have enabled.
- Purchase information — when you subscribe, Apple processes the payment and we receive the transaction status through RevenueCat so we can unlock Premium. We never receive your card details.
- Basic device and diagnostic information — such as device model and app version, used to keep the app working correctly.
What stays on your device
Face ID, Touch ID and your app PIN are handled entirely on your device. Biometric data is never transmitted to us and is never accessible to the app.
How we use your information
- To provide the app: storing your entries and syncing them to your account.
- To calculate your payoff plan, reminders and insights.
- To manage your subscription and restore purchases.
- To send notifications you have turned on. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your financial data for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share data only with service providers that make the app work, and only as far as needed:
- Apple — sign-in and subscription payments.
- Google Firebase — push notification delivery and sign-in.
- RevenueCat — subscription and entitlement management.
- Our hosting provider — running the OweLess backend that stores your account data.
We may also disclose information where required by law.
Keeping your data
We keep your information for as long as your account exists. You can delete your account from Settings inside the app; this removes your account and the financial records associated with it. Backups may persist for a short period before being overwritten.
Your rights
You can access and correct your information in the app, export your data from Settings, and delete your account at any time. If you are in a region with additional rights over your personal data, you may contact us to exercise them.
Children
OweLess is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
